Defending champion at the Roland Garros Championships, World No. 2 Iga Swiatek will start the buildup to her title retention campaign on Wednesday. She kicks things off at the WTA Stuttgart Open, and will face Croatian Jana Fett in the Round of 16. The swashbuckling Pole is the firm favourite in this encounter, and will face either Emma Navarro or Jelena Ostapenko if she comes through.

Iga Swiatek has made a bitter-sweet start to the 2025 season. Although she is yet to make an exit before the quarterfinal final stage, the 23-year-old star is also yet to win a title this year.
