The 2025 WTA Stuttgart Open, also called the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, is set to take place between April 14 to April 21 at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart. The tournament is a WTA-500 event which is played on indoor clay courts. It is the oldest professional indoor women’s competition in all of Europe.

The WTA Stuttgart Open is held annually in the month of April, and acts as a buildup to the Roland Garros Championships in May. The 2025 tournament will be the 47th edition – making it the oldest and first indoor clay court event on the WTA Tour. There are 28 players in the singles competition, and 16 pairs in the women’s doubles category in Stuttgart.

Elena Rybakina is the defending champion at the 2025 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. She beat Marta Kostyuk 6-2 6-2 in the 2024 final. Meanwhile, Chan Hao-Ching and Veronika Kudermetova are the reigning winners in women’s doubles. Martina Navratilova holds the record for most trophies in Stuttgart – she has six titles here.

WTA Stuttgart Open 2025 Draw

It is a star-studded draw at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix 2025 – with Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek headlining the tournament. The World No. 1 has been handed a first round bye, and will face either Anastasia Potapova or Clara Tauson in Round-2. Potential clashes against Elise Mertens or Diana Shnaider await in the quarterfinal, before a blockbuster meeting with Coco Gauff.

In the other half of the draw, Iga Swiatek also begins with a bye. In Round-2 however, she is likely to face a stern test against Olympic silver medalist Donna Vekic. Long-time rival Jelena Ostapenko or No. 7 seed Emma Navarro are her potential quarterfinal opponents. In the semifinal, the reigning Roland Garros champ is on collision course with Jessica Pegula or Mirra Andreeva.
