“I Am Gonna Force You to Give Up”, Gunther’s Warns John Cena Before Their Match at Saturday Night’s Main Event

With less than five days remaining in the retirement of John Cena, WWE aired Monday Night Raw, which started with one of the loudest-mouthed promos of all time. It was Gunther who started Raw on Netflix tonight and had a lot to say to the Last Real Champion, John Cena. He entered the ring amongst the loudest boos, and the crowd even chanted, We want Cena to mock him.

Gunther started his promo by responding to the crowd, stating that John Cena is not coming tonight. He asked the broadcasting team to show the countdown showing how much time is left in John Cena’s retirement. Gunther acknowledged John Cena, stating he is the greatest sports entertainer of all time, but warned that he would be facing the best professional wrestler of all time.

Gunther didn’t stop here, as he called, forcing LA Knight to submit was his greatest achievement, but he would do a lot more to John Cena. He stated that he would brutalize John Cena and then put him in the sleeper hold until the last bit of Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect leaves his body. He then mocked John Cena, saying that he would force him to do one thing he never did, and that is to give up.

Gunther Forced LA Knight to Submit, Becoming the #1 Contender for John Cena’s Final Match

Gunther and LA Knight faced each other on Friday Night SmackDown, and the former was able to force the Megastar to tap out. Gunther had been out of WWE ever since he lost his World Heavyweight title to CM Punk, but he has made a brutal return to WWE. He defeated Je’Von Evans to reach the quarterfinals, where he faced Carmelo Hayes. He defeated Carmelo Hayes to reach the semifinals.

Gunther faced a real challenge in the semifinals, where he faced Solo Sikoa. He passed the hurdle and entered the final, where he faced LA Knight. While LA Knight was able to make the way tough for Gunther, he was unable to stop him as Gunther found a window of opportunity when he found, LA Knight had an injured neck. He went after the vulnerable neck and was able to force LA Knight to tap out.

Gunther is all set to face John Cena in his final match on December 13, 2025, at Saturday Night’s Main Event. This will mark the end of an era in WWE as the GOAT, John Cena, will retire, leaving a big void in WWE.
