Trailing behind Barcelona are Athletic Bilbao, who have lifted the trophy 24 times. Surprisingly, Real Madrid rank third in the all-time Copa del Rey winners list with 20 titles.

Notably, sixteen teams have won the Copa del Rey since Spain’s premier domestic cup competition was first held as the Madrid City Council’s Cup in 1903. Athletic Bilbao are also the most recent champions, having defeated Mallorca in the 2024 Copa del Rey final held at Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville. That victory ended a 40-year wait for Copa del Rey glory for the Basque club.
