New Orleans Pelicans forward, Zion Williamson made a return to the court on Tuesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The former No. 1 NBA overall pick missed the last 27 games with a hamstring injury. Williamson was the third-best scorer in the game behind Edwards and teammate Dejounte Murray.
Minnesota Timberwolves snapped the Pelicans’ two-game winning streak with a 104-97 win. Dejounte Murray scored a team-high 27 points for the Pelicans. Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 30 points and nine rebounds. Rudy Gobert added 14 rebounds and Julius Randle had 16 points for Minnesota.
Zion Williamson was in the starting lineup for New Orleans and had a decent outing. He produced a monster 360 dunk in the third quarter. He stole the ball from Anthony Edwards and threw down a massive dunk. He added another one and the crowd got crazy for the Pelicans forward at Smoothie King Center.

Zion Williamson looked impressive on his NBA return and played for 28 minutes in the game. The 24-year-old finished with 22 points, six rebounds, four assists, and one block while shooting on 9-for-15.
The former Duke student made two free throws to bring New Orleans within 7 points at 99-92 in the fourth quarter. Williamson contributed three steals to his team’s defensive efforts.
