Gunther Eagerly Waiting To Be ‘The One’ With a Target on His Back

Gunther suffered the most embarrassing loss at WrestleMania at the hands of Jey Uso, perhaps the one that will stick with him till the end of time. He tapped out to his own move, and the crowd reminds him of that moment every time he steps in the ring. He fought Pat McAfee at Backlash 2025 and won the match, but that has not changed things for him one bit.

Gunther has now got an opportunity to change things for himself. He will be the next in line to face the winner of the WWE Heavyweight Championship match at Saturday Night Main Event. Gunther personally wants to face Jey Uso for the WWE Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank to compensate for the loss at WrestleMania 41.

Gunther Not Afraid of The Alliance Between Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker

Seth Rollins today praised Gunther for the work he did with the WWE Heavyweight Championship. Gunther came straight to the point, stating that Seth Rollins is not the long game in WWE. Calling himself the future in WWE, Gunther criticized Seth Rollins for being shortsighted despite calling himself a visionary. Seth Rollins told Gunther that he came to show respect out of professional courtesy.

Seth Rollins told Gunther that if he becomes the WWE Heavyweight Champion again, he will be treated like everyone else, and he will be the target. Gunther responded instantly that he is eagerly waiting to be the target and can not wait for that to happen.

Gunther had a War of Words With Logan Paul to Start Monday Night Raw

Gunther also shut down Logan Paul earlier tonight when the latter was blabbering about himself for a long time. Gunther mockingly praised Logan Paul and called him for considering WWE a business. He told Logan Paul that winning the World Heavyweight Championship from Jey Uso is personal for him. He warned Logan Paul that if he manages to take the title away from Jey Uso by winning at SNME, Gunther would see it as a personal insult.

Gunther asked Logan Paul to inquire with Pat McAfee about how he handles disrespect from non-wrestlers. He claimed that he had mercy for Pat McAfee, but he will show no remorse for Logan Paul. He told Logan Paul that if they met each other at Money in the Bank, he would eat the latter alive.
