Abhinav Goel

Girona held Real Betis to a 1-1 draw earlier this season and claimed a 3-2 victory in this fixture last season.

Fresh from securing their spot in the UEFA Conference League semi-finals, Real Betis now shift focus back to La Liga as they visit Girona on Monday night, aiming to strengthen their bid for Champions League qualification. Currently sitting sixth in the standings, Betis remain in the hunt for a top-four finish.

Girona, on the other hand, are battling at the opposite end of the table. Positioned 16th, just above the drop zone, they’re in desperate need of a win. Their recent form has been patchy as they’ve lost three consecutive league games and are winless in their last nine games. With just four points above the relegation zone, Girona’s survival hopes are hanging in the balance.

Girona held Betis to a 1-1 draw earlier this season and claimed a 3-2 victory in this fixture last term. But with Champions League football in their sights, Betis will be determined to take all three points at Montilivi.

Girona Injury News

Girona will be without Bryan Gil and Ricard Artero due to injury concerns. Gil, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, is expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury last month. Left-back Miguel Gutierrez is also a major doubt after missing the recent defeat to Osasuna with an adductor issue. If he remains sidelined, Daley Blind is likely to fill in on the left side of defence.
