Gary Payton II is on the injury list with left knee soreness.
The Golden State Warriors are once again set to take on the court. On Thursday, March 20, they will be up against the Toronto Raptors at home, Chase Center. The Dubs are coming on the back of a splendid 104-93 win over the Milwaukee Bucks, marking their eighth win in the last ten games.
On the other hand, the Raptors slumped to the Phoenix Suns in a blowout 129-89 loss. The Raptors are struggling and seeded 11th in the East with a 24-25 tally.
This is the second time both teams will clash against each other this season. In their previous meet, the Raptors took down the Warriors 104-101. The Dubs would surely aim to avenge the defeat and level the tally. For the upcoming clash, their key player Stephen Curry, who missed the Bucks game with emotional and mental fatigue will be back in the lineup.
However, doubt looms over the participation of another Warriors player. Star guard Gary Payton II has found his place on the official injury report with left knee soreness.

Gary Payton II, who has made a significant impact for the Warriors in the 2024-25 season, has been listed as questionable in the injury report. Payton II has played a total of 56 games this season, and spent 14.8 minutes per game on the court on an average.
He has averaged 6.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. He has a solid field-goal percentage of 57.8%, while 32.2% of three-point percentage. Needless to say, the 32-year-old has proven to be an effective contributor for the side.
He has had a few key performances off late, with 15-point performance against the 76ers and 16-point performance against the Nets. Not only this, but he has also scored 26 points against the Trail Blazers, and came up with 18 points against the Nuggets.
Needless to say, Payton II will be observed closely, and his performance might compel the Warriors to shape up their strategy as the regular season winds down.
As of now, Gary’s injury update has been shared for today’s game. It is yet to be seen if he will be sidelined for more games or will be back in the lineup against the Hawks.
