Upsetting two seeds in his opening contests at the last two majors, 24-year-old Mariano Navone is making in-roads on tour. He came through a tough battle vs Barrios Vera in Round-1 here in Bastad. Navone has a 14-16 record this year, including a career-best Round of 32 finish at a Grand Slam (Roland Garros).
