The England men’s national team is gearing up for a busy October as they continue their impressive 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign. After a flawless start to qualification, Thomas Tuchel’s side will look to extend their winning streak and move one step closer to securing their spot in the tournament set to be hosted across Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
The Three Lions will begin their October schedule with a friendly against Wales on Thursday, October 9. They return to competitive action against Latvia on Wednesday, October 14 in Riga. Having already dispatched Andorra and Serbia with ease last month, they sit comfortably atop their qualifying group. Notably, they need just five more points from their remaining three games to mathematically seal qualification.
Here are the fixtures for England men’s football team –

Manager Thomas Tuchel’s latest squad announcement has raised some eyebrows. Both Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden have been left out for this month’s fixtures. Bellingham, who recently returned from a shoulder injury for Real Madrid, has played only 100 minutes this season. As a result, Tuchel appears cautious about rushing him back. Foden’s exclusion, meanwhile, could be attributed to tactical balance as England continue to fine-tune their system.
The German coach has made only two changes to the squad that beat Serbia 5–0 last month. Bukayo Saka returns to replace the injured Noni Madueke, while Jarell Quansah steps in for Tino Livramento. The squad otherwise remains consistent, with Harry Kane, Declan Rice, and Marcus Rashford expected to feature prominently once again.
