Over the past couple of seasons, Medvedev hasn’t looked as sharp as earlier, and that has also resulted in his drop in rankings. However, grass has given him some good results. He has made consecutive semifinal runs at Wimbledon in 2023 and 2024.
Michelsen, though, hasn’t yet risen to a level where he can consistently challenge the big boys of the game. His two wins at Halle have been incredible, but sustaining that momentum could prove to be a challenge against the better player overall.
