Dana White Ecstatic After Meeting, Officially Confirms Historic UFC White House Event!

The relationship between Donald Trump and Dana White goes back over two decades, long before either man reached the heights of their respective careers. Trump was hosting UFC events when the sport was still considered too brutal for mainstream television. White was just starting to build the UFC into something bigger than a niche fighting promotion. Their friendship survived Trump’s presidency, White’s business empire expansion, and all the political chaos in between. So when Trump mentioned during a campaign rally that he wanted to host a UFC White House event, people who knew their history weren’t completely shocked.

What did shock everyone was the sheer audacity of the idea. They are talking about holding professional UFC fights on the most famous lawn in America, in front of the President’s house. It sounded way over the top. But Trump has never been one to think small, and neither has White. When two guys who built their careers on bold moves start brainstorming together, they get ideas that range from brilliant to completely insane, and sometimes both at the same time.

The Meeting That Made History Official

Dana White walked out of a meeting at the White House this week with a lot of satisfaction. After months of speculation and planning, he finally got the green light for what might be the most unique sporting event in American history. White took to social media immediately after the meeting as he announced that the White House fight card was officially happening.

“[I’m] just about to take off from Washington, DC we had the meeting at the White House.[The meeting] could not have gone better. It’s going to be awesome. The White House fight is on. I will have more details on that in the next couple of weeks, but we got it done today.”

The event is expected to take place on July 4, 2026, which would mark America’s 250th birthday celebration. White mentioned that more details would come in the next few weeks, but the fact that he’s already talking specifics means this thing has moved way past the wishful thinking stage. The logistics alone must be giving Secret Service agents nightmares, but somehow they have figured out how to make it work safely and legally.

Will Fans See The Return Of The Superstars?

The announcement has fight fans going absolutely crazy with speculation about who might headline this historic card. Conor McGregor and Jon Jones have both made it clear they want to be part of this event. McGregor hasn’t fought since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier back in 2021. But he’s been teasing a return ever since Trump announced his White House plans.

Jon Jones presents a more complicated situation. White announced Jones had retired few months after beating Stipe Miocic. But ‘Bones’ quickly jumped back into the drug testing pool when the White House opportunity emerged. However, White seems less enthusiastic about including Jones, calling the chances “billion to one odds” after their recent disagreements. Whatever happens, fans will get to see many American fighters on this card. Whether they will be superstars or not remain to be seen!
