Dallas Wings are on the cusp of a new era after adding Paige Bueckers into their roster. They are trying to follow the template of Indiana Fever who turned around things through their first draft pick, Caitlin Clark. Notably, Wings have also cleaned up their management and coaching staff.
It’s a new era not only for the roster but also for the management. After finishing in 11th position last season, head coach Latricia Trammell was sacked. New general manager Curt Miller and head coach Chris Koclanes are leading the franchise now. Expectations will be high around Wings due to massive changes that have raised the bar.

Paige Bueckers is a fitting candidate to bring glory to Dallas. With the departure of Luka Doncic from the sports-enthusiastic city, the people of Dallas will certainly look upon Bueckers to be the face of the overall sports landscape of the Texas-based city. It is to be seen how well the youngster makes herself at home in Dallas.

The Dallas-based franchise made several moves in the offseason. Mai Yamamoto, a young talent, was brought in to add depth in the area of wing and guard. Plenty of young faces were acquired through the WNBA 2025 draft as well. UConn Huskies star Paige Bueckers was picked as the number one pick. While Aziaha James is another star who was picked in the first round.
The duo is expected to hit the ground running due to their NCAA numbers this season. Paige Bueckers averaged 19.8 points while Aziaha James averaged 15.2 points per game. Moreover, the Dallas Wings added Maddison Scott, JJ Quinerly, and Aaronette Vonleh from the latter draft picks. They have a fine young squad, and their rebuilding phase will start from this WNBA season.
