Cristiano Ronaldo, one of football’s most enduring icons, has finally opened up about what lies ahead once he hangs up his boots. Speaking candidly in a recent interview with Piers Morgan, the 40-year-old Al Nassr forward revealed that retirement is coming ‘soon’.

The comment has since sparked curiosity in everyone regarding whether the Portuguese legend is nearing the end of his glittering career. Ronaldo started his professional journey over two decades ago with Sporting CP.

He also added that he has been mentally preparing for the day since his mid-20s. He confessed, “Probably I will cry, yes.” He acknowledged the emotional weight of closing this chapter of his life. He is currently under contract with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr until 2027.
