‘This Is Some Clown Sh*t’ – Cowboys’ Micah Parsons Enraged With Former Teammate DeMarcus Lawrence’s Remarks

Demarcus Lawrence previously played for the Dallas Cowboys and was the defensive end for his team. However, the Cowboys lost Lawrence to the Seattle Seahawks this offseason and he signed a three-year $42 million deal with them. The 33 year old was drafted by the Cowboys in second round of the 2014 NFL draft and spent 11 years playing for the Cowboys.

The four-time pro bowler, has amassed a total of 450 combined tackles (285 solo and 165 assisted), 97 tackles for loss, 126 quarterback hits, 8 fumble recoveries, 21 forced fumbles, and 2 pass interceptions, on 141 games played. He played a key role in Dallas’ defense in the past 11 years and also came close to winning the defensive player of the year award in 2017 where he was named to the All-Pro Second Team.

Why Did Lawrence Leave the Cowboys?

Every NFL player, at some point of his career, wants to win at the highest levels. In the NFL, the highest level means the Super Bowl and the Cowboys haven’t even come close to winning one since 1996. The Cowboys are valued at $10.1 billion as of 2024 and it is a shame that they haven’t one a Super Bowl in so long despite being the richest team in the NFL.

Recently, Lawrence released a statement saying that even though he loves Dallas, he would not win a Super Bowl playing for them. This statement did not sit right with one of his Cowboys’ teammates which triggered an immediate response. Let’s see what he had to say.

Micah Parsons’ Is Not a Fan of What Lawrence Said of His Former Team

During an interview with Seahawks’ reporter Lawrence said, “Dallas is my home… But I know for sure that I’m not gonna win a Super Bowl there.” He wasted no time in dissing his former team which did not sit right with his former teammate Micah Parsons who responded “This what rejection and envy looks like! This some clown s***.“

Lawrence did not back away from replying to Parsons as he said “Calling me a clown won’t change the fact that I told the truth. Maybe if you spent less time tweeting and more time winning, I wouldn’t have left.”

Lawrence played 11 years for the Cowboys and made the playoffs only 6 times in his career. The Dallas Cowboys haven’t even been to the NFC Championship round since January 14th, 1996! While we all love the Cowboys, there might be some truth to what Lawrence had to say about winning a Super Bowl.
