With their match at Crown Jewel just hours away, the question arises: how many times have they gone against each other, and what is their head-to-head record in single matches?

A brutal truth always dominates the narrative of the rivalry between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. Seth Rollins has never defeated Cody Rhodes in a singles match since The American Nightmare returned to WWE. The lopsided head-to-head record in the three encounters between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes has transcended mere numbers. It’s a battle for supremacy and a chance to demonstrate one’s value.
The emotional and psychological foundation of the modern-day rivalry gives Cody Rhodes a major edge over Seth Rollins in a head-to-head contest. The 3-0 clean sweep doesn’t justify the intensity and brutality of the matches between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
Cody Rhodes dominated each and every chapter of his feud with Seth Rollins. The feud in which Cody Rhodes scored three back-to-back victories over Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins was caught off guard completely after Cody Rhodes’ dramatic return to WWE at WrestleMania 38. The results of the three matches speak for themselves.

Their Hell in a Cell match in particular became a legendary moment and transcended all the other matches. Cody Rhodes defeated Seth Rollins despite entering the cage with a gruesome, visibly purple and swollen pectoral muscle. Seth Rollins not only lost the war of attrition, but it also created an existential crisis for his character.
A few weeks ago, Cody Rhodes raised two important questions. One was whether Seth Rollins would face him alone at Crown Jewel, or if the Vision would accompany him. The more pressing question Cody Rhodes asked, however, was about their previous encounters: Out of the three matches they have had, how many has Seth Rollins won?
While Cody Rhodes’ undefeated streak provides an overwhelming sense of confidence and serves as proof of his promise to finish his story, and proves he can beat Seth Rollins at his best. Seth Rollins’ 0-3 record is a deeply personal and professional stain. It drives his character to increasingly desperate measures and gives any match against Rhodes an added layer of desperation.

For Rollins, a victory against Rhodes is not just about winning a title; it is about saving his reputation, his sanity, and his vision for the future of the company. All the tension leading up to their crucial match at Crown Jewel revolves around a single question: Can Seth Rollins defeat Cody Rhodes? Past records confirm that the pressure will be on Seth Rollins.

That pressure increased folds when Paul Heyman dropped verbal bombs on Seth Rollins, cautioning him that a defeat at Crown Jewel could result in losing his standing in the locker room as well as the confidence of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. He also told Seth Rollins that he might question choosing him over Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania if he happens to lose to Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel.
All these things further intensify their rivalry before their match at Crown Jewel.
