Coco Gauff moved on from a shocking exit in Montreal against Victoria Mboko, the eventual winner of the event. The US No. 1 enter the fixture with a straight-set victory. Gauff’s consistency has been a concern as she failed to got a deep run after the maiden Roland Garros title in June. She won the Cincinnati Masters in 2023 and went 16-6 on hard court this year. Yastremska required three sets to counter Viktoriya Tomova in second round. She has secured multiple wins in each of the last 6 events and this consistency makes her superior player. In 2025, the Ukrainian ace made into the quarterfinals five times with a 31-17 record. Yastremska went 11-8 on hard-court this year and beat players like Navarro and Jabeur. The 25-year-old had a semifinal run in Bad Hamburg where she was the 2nd seed player.
