CM Punk Win The Triple-Threat & Right to Challenge Seth Rollins For The World Heavyweight Title, Gets Brutalized Afterwards

CM Punk defeated Jey Uso and LA Knight tonight in a triple threat match to claim the right to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship. His happiness was, however, short-lived once again as “Burn It Down” played. Seth Rollins made his way towards the ring with Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed.

Bron Breakker delivered a Spear to an already injured Jey Uso and then to LA Knight. He then went inside the ring to deliver a vicious Spear to CM Punk. Bronson Reed followed it up with a Tsunami to lay waste to CM Punk. Seth Rollins was heard shouting, “You will never be champ, this is my company, this is my ring,” before he ordered the Vision to push CM Punk out of the ring.

While it ended badly for CM Punk, it was worse for Seth Rollins. Bron Breakker turned heel on him and delivered a vicious Spear to him. He then asked Bronson Reed whether he was with him or with Seth Rollins. Bronson Reed replied by delivering a Tsunami to Seth Rollins. Bron Breakker then approached Paul Heyman and asked the same question, and the latter joined him.

Jey Uso And LA Knight Have to Wait Longer For Their Title Opportunity

Jey Uso, LA Knight, and CM Punk fought hard, and while it was anybody’s match, CM Punk turned out to be the better man tonight. Jey Uso was not fully recovered before the match once again. He helped Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel and had to suffer brutalization at the hands of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, and then had to save Jimmy Uso from their assault.

All three icons took turns to dominate the match. CM Punk tried a GTS on Jey Uso, but the latter escaped and pushed him towards LA Knight, who delivered a BFT to him. He then threw Jey Uso outside the ring to secure a pin over CM Punk. Jey Uso pulled him outside before the three-count and sent him into the Steel Stairs.

Jey Uso went for an Uso Splash, but CM Punk pulled his knees up and Jey Uso coped a blow on the injured midsection. CM Punk delivered a GTS to Jey Uso and secured a pin over him. He will now face Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship.
