After a hugely disappointing 2023 season that saw Carolina give up a bunch of draft capital to the Chicago Bears in exchange for that year’s number-one overall pick, the Panthers struggled once again to gain any momentum in 2024. Carolina drafted quarterback Bryce Young in the 2023 draft with the first overall pick, but the then-rookie had absolutely no help from the offensive line or the wide receivers.

The 2-15 team from the 2023 season attempted to make some changes prior to the start of the 2024 season by bringing in Dave Canales as their new head coach, but Carolina fell to a 3-7 record before their bye week. Even after experimenting with Andy Dalton at quarterback and benching Young, there was little to no improvement.

The Panthers are in dire need of a roster rebuild, and their 5-12 record from last season means they picked at number 8 in the first round. Carolina’s division, the NFC South, hasn’t been the most competitive in recent years and that is an advantage for them, as well as a schedule that looks like an easier one, at least on paper.

Carolina Panthers’ 2025 Season Home Games

The Carolina Panthers are a member of the NFC, and therefore, they will be playing 8 games at home and 9 on the road. Since the introduction of the 17th game, the NFL has been alternating 9 home games for the AFC and the NFC on a yearly basis. Playing in the NFC South, the Panthers will host their divisional rivals, the Falcons, Saints, and Buccaneers.

Carolina will then play 2 home games against 2 teams from the NFC West this year, and their opponents will be the Rams and Seahawks. Similarly, the Panthers will play 2 home games against 2 teams from the AFC East, which will be the Bills and the Dolphins. Their final home game will be against the Cowboys, who finished third in 2024 in the NFC East, just as the Panthers finished third in the NFC South.

Carolina Panthers’ 2025 Season Away Games

Coming to the Panthers’ away games, three of their nine games will once again be against divisional opponents – Falcons, Saints, and Buccaneers. Then, they will play the remaining 2 teams from the NFC West, which are the Cardinals and the 49ers.

Furthermore, Carolina will also play the Jets and the Patriots, the remaining two teams from the AFC East. Their final two away games will be against another NFC and one AFC third-place team, which will be the Packers and the Jaguars, respectively.
