Arsenal might be in for a big injury boost ahead of their crucial Champions League quarterfinal clash against Real Madrid on April 8. Bukayo Saka, who suffered a hamstring injury, is reportedly back in training. After three months out, the 23-year-old will be aiming to get match fit as the season enters its crucial stages.
Since the season-ending injuries of Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz, Mikel Arteta’s team has struggled with depth in the forward line.
Captioning a post “Hello Again”, Saka announced he is back in training through social media. With his first appearance of 2025 expected soon, the Arsenal star is also reported to be regaining fitness ahead of the Real Madrid clash.
In the pre-match conference, Mikel Arteta has addressed that Saka is fit to start the game against Fulham. Talking to the media, the Spanish manager said:
“Bukayo is ready to go,” “All the careful things he’s already done, so now it’s about putting him on the grass in the right moments.
“He’s pushing because he really wants it. We have respect the timeframe, but we have done everything and we have had to hold him back even, so he’s ready to go.

Saka was leading the Premier League in assists at the time of his injury. Sidelined at the peak of his form, he will be eager to contribute to Arsenal’s attack once again.
The Arsenal academy player has been Arteta’s main man over the past five years and has flourished under the Spanish manager, having more goal contributions and appearances than any other Arsenal player since 2019.
Arsenal Has Felt Bukayo Saka’s Absence
Before sustaining the injury, Saka started in all 16 games for Arsenal in the Premier League. His absence has been felt over the past few months.
Talking about what it means to have Saka back in his squad Arteta left a high praise for the 23-year-old. Addressing what he’ll bring to the table and what it means to the squad, Arteta said:
“It’s more the energy that he transmits, that he’s missed the thing that he loves the most in his life, which is to be around the team, to play, to train, and to compete at the highest level.
“The fact that he’s able to come in the most important part of the season is a massive boost for him and the team as well.
With the new recruitments failing to shine, Arteta will be hoping to rely on his star winger once again. With the gap widening in Saka’s absence, Arsenal has nine matchdays left to close the 12-point deficit.
Having never been out for this long in the past four years, the big question is how quickly Saka will rediscover his form. With Arsenal needing his attacking prowess more than ever, all eyes will be on his comeback.
