The Lakers will take on the Bucks on Thursday, March 13.
The Los Angeles Lakers (40-23) are set for their third game on the road as they clash against the Milwaukee Bucks (36-28) on Thursday, March 13. After recording eight straight wins, the Lakers registered two back-to-back losses. In their previous clash, they lost to the Brooklyn Nets 111-108.
Meanwhile, the Bucks are on a three-game losing streak. In the previous match, they suffered a narrow 115-114 defeat to the Indiana Pacers.
The Lakers were having a dream run, where the Luka Doncic-LeBron James duo was leading them to one win after the other. However, things took a u-turn for them when James sustained a left-groin strain during the Celtics game. He walked out immediately and is expected to be sidelined for 1-2 weeks.
Needless to say, his injury had an instant impact on the Lakers’ championship run. Their championship odds see a significant drop, and after previously holding the second seed, they have now slipped to fourth place in the Western Conference.
According to Shams Charania, James has returned to Los Angeles as per medical recommendation and is recovering well from his groin injury. However, no official timeline has been set for his return. The 40-year-old has been ruled out of Thursday’s game and will also miss the Lakers’ matchup against the Denver Nuggets.
Lakers' LeBron James has returned to Los Angeles, per medical recommendation, as he continues to progress well from a groin strain with the team finishing road trip Thursday in Milwaukee and Friday in Denver, league sources tell ESPN.

Apart from LeBron, Rui Hachimura has also been listed out with left patellar tendinopathy. Jaxson Hayes and Maxi Kleber have also been listed out for the game.
Lakers newest superstar Luka Doncic has been listed as questionable with right ankle soreness for the game.
