Brazil’s Road to World Cup 2026: Full Fixture List, Squad Updates & Key Matches.
Brazil’s national football team, under the new leadership of coach Carlo Ancelotti, have commenced their June fixtures. Unfortunately, it has not been a happy start with a 0-0 draw against Ecuador in Guayaquil. The match marked Ancelotti’s debut, where the team struggled offensively. They managed only three shots on target and 48% possession.
The Brazilian squad now turn their attention to another pivotal home game against Paraguay in Sao Paulo. This match will be significantly critical for Brazil’s aspirations to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Their sole target now remains on improving their standing in the CONMEBOL qualifiers.

As of the latest standings, Brazil are sitting in fourth position in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers standings with 22 points from 15 matches. They are trailing behind Ecuador and Paraguay, both with 24 points. With only a few matches remaining, securing a win against Paraguay will become essential to solidify their qualification prospects.
The top six teams from the CONMEBOL standings will qualify directly to the 2026 World Cup. Meanwhile the seventh-placed team will enter an intercontinental playoff. Given the tight competition, Brazil must capitalize on their upcoming fixtures to ensure direct qualification.
