Boxing fans have something big to look forward to in 2025! The sport has come a long way since its early days. These days, boxing matches fill massive stadiums and draw millions of viewers worldwide.

This year promises some incredible matchups that could reshape several weight divisions. The best part is that fans won’t have to wait long, as most of these fights will take place in the first few months of 2025!

5. Shakur Stevenson vs. Floyd Schofield

Shakur Stevenson (22-0) and Floyd Schofield (18-0) will duke it out for the WBC Lightweight Championship. Stevenson’s defensive skills against Schofield’s aggressive style is what makes this fight a must-watch for every Boxing fan.

Schofield wasn’t even supposed to be here. He stepped in after William Zepeda got injured. Sometimes, the best fights come from unexpected places. Now, it remains to be seen if he is up for the task. The fight is scheduled for the ‘Last Crescendo Card’ in Riyadh on February 22.

4. Naoya Inoue vs. Sam Goodman

The “Monster” Naoya Inoue (28-0) is back in action against Sam Goodman (19-0) in Tokyo. Inoue has been knocking people out left and right, even garnering praise from the mighty Mike Tyson. However, Goodman is no slush either.

His undefeated record makes this intriguing. The fight got pushed back to January 24 because of a cut over Goodman’s eye, and it probably was for the best. Nobody in their right mind would want to face Inoue at less than 100%!

3. Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker

Daniel Dubois (22-2) will be defending his IBF heavyweight title against Joseph Parker (35-3) in Riyadh on the ‘Last Crescendo’ card on February 22. This bout could prove even more exciting after Dubois knocked out Anthony Joshua at Wembley.

Joseph Parker’s recent wins over heavyweights like Deontay Wilder make him a serious threat. The winner might get a shot at Oleksandr Usyk, which adds extra spice to the mix.

2. Claressa Shields vs. Danielle Perkins

Last but definitely not least, Claressa “GWOAT” Shields (15-0) is aiming to make history against Danielle Perkins (5-0). Shields could become the undisputed champion in three weight classes!

The fight’s happening in Shields’ hometown of Flint, Michigan, on February 2, 2025. This is a big moment, and it is more than guaranteed that all boxing fans will have their eyes on this fight!

1. Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol 2

The light heavyweight division will see fireworks when Artur Beterbiev (21-0) meets Dmitry Bivol (23-1)again. Their first fight was close, with Beterbiev winning by majority decision. However, not everyone was happy with the decision, and now, they will run it back in Saudi Arabia as the main event of ‘The Last Crescendo’ on Feb 22.

Bivol needs to change his game plan this time – running and clinching won’t cut it anymore. At 34, this could be his last shot at the title. Meanwhile, Beterbiev, the older guy in the fight might be against the toughest opponent he has ever faced in his career.

From heavyweight slugfests to technical masterclasses, 2025’s boxing calendar has something for every fight fan. These matches could create new stars, end careers, or cement legacies. The sport keeps evolving, but one thing stays the same. Nothing beats the thrill of two fighters giving it their all in the ring!
