“Beat Him Two Times” – Tyson Fury Demands Oleksandr Usyk Trilogy Matchup

Zaid Quraishi

Fury targets a trilogy fight with Usyk to settle their heavyweight rivalry once and for all!

Just months after his retirement announcement, Tyson Fury has sparked excitement among fans. The ‘Gypsy King’ seems ready to lace up his gloves once more. His target is none other than Oleksandr Usyk, the man who handed him two consecutive defeats and prompted his retirement in January.

This potential comeback adds another dramatic chapter to Fury’s colorful career. Known for his remarkable comebacks, Fury has previously returned from battles with depression and substance abuse. He famously rose from the canvas against Deontay Wilder in their first fight, a moment that stunned viewers worldwide. Now, after stepping away from boxing following his second loss to Usyk, Fury appears to have that competitive fire burning again.

Tyson Fury’s Unfinished Business

Fury’s recent Instagram comment suggest he is itching to climb back into the ring for a trilogy fight with the Ukrainian champion. Fury’s retirement U-turn comes as Usyk prepares to face Daniel Dubois on July 19 at Wembley Stadium. The timing of Fury’s announcement wasn’t coincidental. It came on the same day Usyk and Dubois began their press tour, effectively stealing their thunder.

“Beat him two times and the world knows the truth. Any time any place. UK next time 100K people.”

The heavyweight landscape has shifted dramatically since Fury stepped away. Usyk claimed all the major belts and stood as the undisputed heavyweight champion. He relinquished his IBF belt and will now fight against Daniel Dubois to reclaim that as well as the honor of becoming a 2 time undisputed champion.

Interestingly, Usyk hasn’t dismissed the idea of facing Fury again. Despite claiming victory in their previous two meetings, the Ukrainian appears open to a third bout. When asked about his plans after the upcoming Dubois fight, Usyk mentioned Fury as a possibility. Even more surprising was Usyk’s assessment of Fury’s retirement.

“Maybe it’s Tyson Fury. Maybe it’s Anthony Joshua…I think Tyson will continue training, continue boxing, because he’s a great man,” Usyk told The Stomping Ground.

Usyk predicted, almost as if he knew Fury would announce his comeback shortly after. He even complimented his rival while acknowledging Fury’s notorious trash-talking. Boxing fans are already buzzing about the possibility of a third encounter between these heavyweight titans. A third fight between these two boxing giants would be a massive draw, potentially filling UK stadiums with 100,000+ fans. If this trilogy happens, it would join the ranks of legendary heavyweight rivalry like Ali-Frazier.
