Bam Adebayo Has the Sweetest Message for A’ja Wilson Ahead of 2025 WNBA Finals

Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo shared a sweet message for the Las Vegas Aces center A’ja Wilson ahead of the 2025 WNBA Finals series opener. The Aces will lock horns with the Phoenix Mercury in the summit clash of the season. As Wilson gears up to win her third WNBA championship, her boyfriend and NBA star Adebayo heaped praise on her while sending a heartwarming message.

Adeabyo is currently in Miami, participating in the training camp ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season. Speaking about Wilson’s big game, he told Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald, “A lot of stress, a lot of prayer.” The three-time NBA All-Star went on to say that he wants fans to remember her as the greatest women’s basketball player ever. Not only this, but he added that he wants Wilson to win and set a higher standard for everyone around.

“That’s the biggest thing I want in life, I want her to win. I want her to keep being and setting a higher standard for everybody to where people think it’s impossible until it’s done. I want people, when she’s done, to be like this is the greatest women’s basketball player to ever touch a basketball. From the time she touched it to the time she left.”

Wilson, who finished the regular season as the leading scorer, has had a historic campaign this season. After finishing the regular season as the leading scorer, the 29-year-old became the first four-time WNBA MVP.

Currently in her eighth season in the league, Wilson has already established herself as the best active player in the league. If she and her team are able to take down the Mercury in the first-ever seven-game WNBA Finals series, it will only strengthen her case to go down as the league’s greatest of all time.

A’ja Wilson Makes Powerful Statement Amid Napheesa Collier-Cathy Engelbert Row

Over the last few weeks, the WNBA has kept fans and pundits on their toes with back-to-back thrilling encounters. However, as the season nears end, the spotlight has shifted to off-court battles as well, with debates around leadership, player pay, league’s accountability, and more.
