2025 WNBA Finals Game 1 Injury Report and Predicted Starting Lineups Las Vegas Aces vs Phoenix Mercury: All Looks Well as Aces and Mercury Gear Up for Big Game

Garima Ranawat

Have a look at the injury reports and expected starting lineups for Aces and Mercury ahead of Game 1.

The 2025 WNBA season has reached its final leg. On Friday, October 3, the Las Vegas Aces will host the Phoenix Mercury in Game 1 of the most-anticipated WNBA Finals at the Michelob Ultra Arena. The Aces made it to their third finale in four years by taking down the Indiana Fever in a gritty five-game semifinals series. In the fifth game, the Aces handed a 107-98 defeat to their counterparts in an OT thriller.

The Mercury, on the other hand, became the fourth team in the league’s history to knock the previous finalists out of the playoffs. In the opening round, they pulled off an upset over the reigning champions, New York Liberty, and in the semis, they defeated the Minnesota Lynx 3-1. The Aces, being the No. 2 seeds, have home-advantage in the forthcoming series. This will be also the first time that the WNBA Finals have been structured in a best-of-seven series.

Considering how the playoffs have been so far, one can expect the finals to be a tight series as well. Both the Aces and Mercury overcame multiple challenges, hence, it would be too early to predict which team would dominate the other. However, the series kicks off in Las Vegas and the hosts will aim to make the most of it, before it heads to Phoenix.

With that said, let’s get into the 2025 WNBA Finals Game 1 injury report and predicted starting lineups for Las Vegas Aces vs Phoenix Mercury.
