Aryna Sabalenka vs. Emma Raducanu Head-to-Head, Prediction and Betting Odds for Wimbledon 2025 Round-3

Sankalp Harikrishnan

Winner to face Mertens or Svitolina in the Round of 16.

The gasps from the Centre Court crowd were clearly audible, when Emma Raducanu was asked about her next opponent after beating Marketa Vondrousova in the 2025 Wimbledon Round of 64. This is because the former US Open champion will be up against World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in Round-3 on Friday. Both players have reached this stage without dropping a set at All England Club thus far.

There is no questioning the fact that Aryna Sabalenka sits proudly on the WTA throne at present. The 27-year-old has three singles titles and four runner-up trophies in 2025, including three consecutive finals at the Grand Slam level. After missing out on Wimbledon last year, the top seed is looking to win her maiden championship at the iconic grass court major. Sabalenka wins around 70% service games on grass, and has a 44-8 overall record this year. She beat Branstine and Bouzkova to book her spot in Round-3.

The 2021 US Open winner and a former Top-10 player, Emma Raducanu was lauded for ‘looking like her former self’ after beating former Wimbledon champion Vondrousova in the R64. The World No. 40 entered SW19 with a 3-2 record on grass, and earned herself two more wins with an identical 6-3 6-3 scoreline. Two quarterfinal finishes at the Miami Open and the HSBC Championships happen to be her best outings in 2025. She has a formidable 48% break point conversion rate.

Aryna Sabalenka vs Emma Raducanu Head to Head Record

Aryna Sabalenka leads the head-to-head against Emma Raducanu by 1-0. They faced each other in the Round of 32 at Indian Wells in 2024.

It was a serving masterclass from Sabalenka when she came up against the young Brit last year. The Belarusian powerhouse struck 8 aces and won 75% points on first serve, as she stormed past Raducanu. Unfortunately, the then No. 2 seed was ousted by Emma Navarro in the very next round.

Aryna Sabalenka vs Emma Raducanu Wimbledon 2025 Prediction

If Raducanu is to cause an upset on Friday, she will have to pull a rabbit out of the hat. The Briton needs to get Sabalenka on the run, which is very hard to do considering the Belarusian’s innate ability to attack and play first strike tennis. However, it is important to note that Sabalenka has looked slightly rusty in her opening two matches. The crowd will play a huge role in ruffling some feathers too.

Prediction: Aryna Sabalenka in three sets.
