Where Form Meets Legacy: Inside the ATP’s Most Dominant Streaks

The gold standard. Djokovic’s 43-match winning streak remains one of the most dominant runs in tennis history and the topmost among active players. It began with Serbia’s Davis Cup triumph and rolled through his second Australian Open title, the Sunshine Double, and back-to-back Masters titles in Madrid and Rome. Along the way, he defeated 13 top-10 players before Roger Federer ended the streak in the 2011 French Open semifinals.

Sinner went unbeaten for seven months following a loss to Alcaraz in the 2024 China Open final. He swept titles in Shanghai and the ATP Finals, led Italy to a Davis Cup victory, and defended his Australian Open crown without dropping a set. His run totaled 26 straight wins, including 24 over top-10 opponents, before Alcaraz stopped him in the 2025 Rome final.

Medvedev’s 20-match streak spanned indoor and outdoor courts at the highest level. He won the Paris Masters and ATP Finals to close 2020, taking down five top-10 players. The Russian then led his country to the ATP Cup title and reached the Australian Open final. The streak ended in Melbourne, where he fell to Djokovic in straight sets.

Alcaraz is currently on the longest active streak in men’s tennis, with 20 straight wins and counting. His run began on clay with titles in Rome and Roland Garros, continued onto grass with another Queen’s Club trophy, and now into Wimbledon, where he’s reached the third round. With five top-10 wins already, the 22-year-old looks poised to push this streak even further.
