Belarusian player Aryna Sabalenka doesn’t just win titles, but wears her heart on her sleeve. In 2024, she won her 3rd Grand Slam title at the 2024 US Open and ended the season as WTA No. 1, all while carrying the weight of personal heartbreak and public pressure.
However, from press conferences to matches, she showed an indomitable spirit and surprising grace. While her performance said everything, her off-court quiet moments captured the strength of a supportive partner. Through Sabalenka’s entire journey since last year, a certain person stood by her side like a rock, cheering, comforting, and capturing it all like a proud partner. So, who is he?
Aryna Sabalenka’s boyfriend is Georgios Frangulis, a Brazilian-Greek entrepreneur. Their relationship began in early 2024, shortly after the Belarusian partnered with Frangulis’ brand Oakberry as their ambassador. The couple made its first public appearance at the Mutua Madrid Open in April 2024. Since then, Frangulis has been a constant presence in her player’s box, including Sabalenka’s victories at the Cincinnati Masters and the US Open in 2024.
The WTA No. 1 and Frangulis’ equation goes beyond court-side support. Reflecting on that, the 2023 AO champion said, “There was a really tough period where I was really happy to have him by my side, always cheering me up, always making sure that we are doing some fun stuff. But I make sure I kind of forget about tennis and focus on the good things and enjoy my life. Even when things are going wrong in my career. So yeah, he was my biggest support, and yeah, really happy to have him by my side.“

Sabalenka’s boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, is the founder of Oakberry, a global acai-based superfood brand launched in 2016. Headquartered in Brazil’s São Paulo, Oakberry now has hundreds of locations across more than 35 countries. Frangulis began his career with a law degree but became an entrepreneur, driven by a desire to build something impactful. In 2016, the same year he underwent surgery for thyroid cancer, he also opened Oakberry’s first store, proving his determination.
Beyond entrepreneurship, he is a motorsports enthusiast and competed in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge. Now, Sabalenka also attends F1 races with her boyfriend, making her first appearance at the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix season finale and the next in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in May.
Their relationship began through professional collaboration. In January 2024, Sabalenka signed a partnership deal with Oakberry. The collaboration was part of Oakberry’s growing involvement in sports sponsorships, and Sabalenka became one of the brand’s highest-profile ambassadors. It is widely believed that their first meeting occurred during the initiation of this sponsorship deal. Within a few months, the two had entered a romantic relationship.
