World No. 4 Amanda Anisimova is one of the leading names in American tennis at the moment. Along with the likes of Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys, the 24-year-old forms a formidable list of stars from the nation. After taking a break from tennis in 2023, Anisimova has roared back to form over the past two years. From failing to qualify for the Wimbledon Championships main draw in 2024, Anisimova is now a two-time Grand Slam finalist (Wimbledon & US Open 2025).
Amanda Anisimova is one of the few players to hold a dominant head-to-head record against World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka. The New Jersey-born prodigy bested her Belarusian counterpart in consecutive majors at the 2019 Australian Open and Roland Garros. In the semifinal at SW19, Anisimova produced a masterclass in groundstrokes to emerge a 6-4 4-6 6-4 victor under the scorching London heat.

Behind every successful athlete, is a tireless support system that has guided them to greatness. Here’s all you need to know about the parents and family of Top-5 player Amanda Anisimova:
Olga Anisimova and Konstantin Anisimov are the parents of American tennis starlet Amanda Anisimova. They gave birth to her in Freehold Township, New Jersey on 31 August, 2001. Anisimova’s parents are of Russian descent, and moved to the USA in 1998 – three years before they gave birth to the WTA prodigy.
Olga Anisimova is the mother of Amanda Anisimova. She was an accountant in the banking system, as per ex-husband Konstantin Anisimov. She moved to Miami in 2004 along with the rest of the family, and began her coaching journey. When Amanda first began playing tennis at the age of 2, it was with her mother Olga.
Konstantin Anisimov is the father of Amanda Anisimova. He was self-admittedly in the finance and banking business, before eventually splitting with Anisimova’s mother Olga. He reportedly took the decision along with the family to move to the USA, in order to provide better opportunities for their first child (Amanda’s elder sister) – Maria. Konstantin was also Amanda’s first coach – mentoring her throughout her childhood.
“My wife had relatives who had lived for a long time in the United States,” he told the New York Times nearly a decade ago. “They sent us an invitation to come visit this country. We visited it, liked it more and more, and started thinking and taking it seriously.” Unfortunately, Amanda Anisimova’s father passed away in 2019, when she was preparing for the US Open.
