Anthony Hamilton has a good reputation in the F1 paddock. The scenario for Formula 1 drivers is not good when it comes to rookies. Teams easily replace them on a short notice. Considering this, Anthony Hamilton advised the FIA president about young driver development.
Anthony Hamilton’s suggestion was incredibly useful for FIA President, Mohammed Ben Sulayem. Thus, he has now asked Hamilton Sr. To step up and join the FIA on a serious note.
The FIA intends to launch Young Driver Development Pathway. This program will take care of drivers from the grassroots level. The Young Drivers Development Program intends to protect drivers from unethical managers or agents. FIA will be launching this program in June.
Anthony Hamilton’s new role comes right after Formula 1’s ban on swearing. Lewis Hamilton recently spoke up about the fact that drivers need more representation in the FIA. His father’s involvement with the FIA is a positive news.
This new program started by the FIA is among the many driver development programs that the organisation undertakes. The F1 Academy is a similar program which aims to develop young women in field of motorsports. FIA will launch this initiative in Macau in June during their press conference.
nhl I work as a Writer at The Playoffs specialising in NHL, Formula 1 and Motorsports. I got into online journalism a couple of years ago. I used to be an intern for a website managing their Formula 1 content and then I served an entire year as a contractual writer.
Read moreFor me, online journalism was not something I expected. I am a Mechanical Engineer aiming to join Formula 1. At the same time, I am a poet, writer and my university’s Literary Club Lead. One day the dots connected together and I realised I could use my writing skills to convey my passion for Motorsports.
The biggest aspects I love about my role are- Scuderia Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel. When I am not fawning over them I like to convey my opinions to the public, in a manner which helps them gain a new point of view. I love helping people explore new ideas about Motorsports and obviously get recognised as a writer all over the world.
Message to Readers: I promise you one day you’ll see me managing operations on track with a Formula 1 team ; )
