Anthony Edwards put on a 41-point performance in Timberwolves' win over Rockets.
Anthony Edwards is one the young superstars in the NBA but he is also one of the best trash talkers in the league. The Timberwolves guard never shy away to let his opponents hear it, and Thursday night was no exception.
During a heated matchup between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Houston Rockets, Edwards and Dillon Brooks found themselves tangled up in the second quarter. With the Rockets up 51-48, the two players got into it, refusing to let go of each other. The officials had to step in and separate them before things escalated further.

After the game, Edwards opened up on scuffle and didn’t hold back in calling out Brooks for his dirty play.
He’s a competitor. I love the competing part, but all the little slick little dirty s*** …,”” Anthony said to reporters.
“He hit me in the face and I fell, and he’s [Brooks] like “How much crying you gonna do?”
“I’m like, ‘Bruh, you hit me in my motherf–king face. What you want me to do?’
“So, you know, I just don’t like that part. Like, don’t do something and act like you didn’t do it, you know what I’m saying? But I love all the competitiveness, like we compete all day, we can talk s–t all day, but when you give it doing that, yeah, it’s more than basketball at that point.

Despite the back-and-forth, Edwards ended up having the last laugh. The 23-year-old scored 41 points as Timberwolves beat the Rockets 127-114. Edwards dropped 11-of-25 shooting, including 5-of-12 from three.
With this win, Minnesota improved their record at 29-23 record so far, and have moved to seventh in the Western Conference standings. They will next host the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday.
