Miami Heat stars learn about teammate Jimmy Butler’s trade via fan in stands during 76ers clash

The Miami Heat traded Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors

Since the last few days, there was a lot of anticipation about the transfer of Miami Heat’s forward Jimmy Butler. However, what turned into reality wasn’t anticipated by anyone, not even Butler’s teammate, at least that is what a viral video on social media shows.

ESPN’s Shams Charania dropped yet another bombshell on NBA fans when he revealed that the Heat traded Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors. As the six-time All-Star and often suspended forward moves to the Warriors in a multi-team deal, the Heat will get Kyle Anderson, Andrew Wiggins, PJ Tucker and a protected 1st round pick.

As per Charania, the deal also includes three other teams, the Pistons will get Lindy Waters and Josh Richardson while the Jazz will acquire Dennis Schroder. However, it was later updated that while Detroit acquired Dennis Schroder from the Utah Jazz, the Raptors traded Davion Mitchell to the Heat for PJ Tucker, a second-round pick and cash.

The news of the deal broke when the Heat were clashing against the Philadelphia 76ers, and Butler’s now-former teammates were in the middle of the match. However, lucky for them, a fan sitting right behind on the bench shared the updates with them when the news was brewing.

A viral video on social media showed the fan telling Kevin Love, Tyler Herro and Jaime Jaquez Jr., “You got Kyle Anderson, Dennis Schroder and Andrew Wiggins.”

Love replied, “Anything else? Any draft capital?”

Talking about the game, Tyler Herro scored 30 points, while Nikola Jovic finished with 23 points as the Heat thrashed the 76ers 108-101.

“We expect to have a motivated, committed Jimmy”- Stephen Curry reacts to Jimmy Butler’s trade

As the Golden State Warriors went down to the Utah Jazz 131-128 on Wednesday, Stephen Curry reacted to his side signing the former Miami star.

The four-time NBA champion, who finished with 32 points, one rebound and seven assists, said that he is excited to work with another All-Star.

Curry told reporters, “He went to two finals. He’s a winner. I understand there was a lot of drama down there. Who really knows what the story is? We expect to have a motivated, committed Jimmy who is ready to impact our team for the better.”

“You gotta work out the kinks of what it looks like. I’m excited to get to work and feed off the energy of someone new, somebody that’s had experience at the highest levels, and has a lot to prove. We’re going to try and help each other do it,” Curry added.
