Celtics vs Mavericks: Will Anthony Davis make his Mavericks debut tonight?

Swati Bhatia

Anthony Davis has been recovering from an abdominal strain.

The Dallas Mavericks made waves across the NBA when they traded Luka Doncic to the LA Lakers. In return, they acquired Anthony Davis and Max Christie. But the Mavs have struggled recently, sitting at the 8th spot in the Western Conference with a 26-25 record. They are also on a three-game losing streak.

The Celtics, on the other hand, are sitting at second in the Eastern Conference with a 36-15 record.

On Tuesday, Davis opened up about the blockbuster trade for the first time, revealing that the was shocked as anyone else when he first heard the news.

“I was shocked. I didn’t know. I was actually at home, about to watch a movie with my wife and got the phone call. I had no idea”, Davis told the reporters.

However, the 10-time All Star has now fully accepted the reality and is looking forward to play with Dallas.

“Now I’m kind of over it and just getting ready to play with Dallas”, the 31-year-old added.

Now, all eyes are on Davis as he prepares to make his debut for the Mavericks. The former Lakers star has been recovering from an abdominal strain, which kept him out of Dallas’ last game against the 76ers. The Mavs has listed him as questionable for tonight’s matchup against the Celtics.
