Alex Pereira Calls Out Jon Jones in Front of a Historic Location at Rome, Italy

Alex Pereira just recently reclaimed the UFC light heavyweight title by knocking out Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 320. Now, the two-time champ wants the biggest fight possible featuring Jon Jones. Nothing tops a clash with Jones, the man may call the UFC’s GOAT. Both Pereira and Jones are pushing for this superfight at the planned UFC White House event in 2026, and there aren’t many more exciting fights than this right here.

Alex Pereira Calls Out Jones From the Colosseum

In Rome, Italy, Pereira stood in front of the historic Colosseum and shadowboxed. Then he delivered a short but direct message saying, “Jon Jones, White House. Chama.” The callout has now gone viral and it seems Poatan is equalled hyped to face Jones, as the UFC’s arguable GOAT has been to face him.

Jon Jones, prior to Pereira’s callout, also expressed his desire in taking on Poatan, on noscripts.podcast, saying, “I’d like to fight Alex Pereira at the White House. I feel like he’s incredibly respectful. I feel like he’s a household name in American and in MMA. Everybody knows who he is. He’s a champion. He’s in the conversation of being one of the greatest fighters of all time. It would be a blockbuster event. I think the whole world would come out.”

Known for knockout and vicious power, not talk, Pereira kept it simple but powerful in his message. And with Jones showing equal interest, fans want this legacy fight, where we’ll see two of the best fighters compete.

Pereira vs Jones Fight Does Not Involve a Belt

If this fight were to happen, it could be the main event of the evening, with only Topuria vs Makhachev being a more anticipated fight. However, this fight does leave behind heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall.

Pereira and Jones don’t seem to care about the belt, and they just may want to prove who is better, with no title on the line, just two legends settling it once and for all. The UFC White House event is still unconfirmed, but this matchup could make it some of the best cards of all time.
