Will LeBron James play tonight against Grizzlies? Latest injury update on Lakers’ superstar

The Los Angeles Lakers are back home following a four-game losing streak on the road. LeBron James and Co., who are coming on the back of a 97-87 loss against the Timberwolves, will take on the Memphis Grizzlies, who are on a 4-game winning run.

Memphis is in second place in the Western Conference with an 18-8 record, while the Lakers are in 10th place with a 13-12 record. Grizzlies routed the Lakers 131-114 last month but faced a close 128-123 defeat on the road.

The Lakers, on the other hand, are going through a similar slump they went through last season. They have dropped the last four games on the road and the margins of the defeats in a couple of games have been a major concern.

LeBron James’s recent form is a worrying sign for the Lakers as he failed to reach 20 points in five of the last eight games. However, the veteran guard has improved since the horrible outing against the Wolves. The 39-year-old scored 29 points against Miami while shooting 12-for-18 and posted an impressive triple-double against the Hawks.

Apart from LeBron James, four players have been listed on the Lakers’ injury report. Jaxson Hayes, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Christian Wood are out from the Sunday night action.

The top performer of the side, Anthony Davis, who has been recovering from left plantar fasciitis, is listed as probable.
