One of the most famous belongs to Islam Makhachev, who once declared that he would fight anybody, anytime, and anywhere. Dana White loved that quote so much that he had it immortalized on the wall for all fighters to see. It’s the kind of warrior mentality that made Makhachev such a dominant champion. This also earned him respect throughout the entire MMA community.

But Tsarukyan saw an opportunity to turn that inspiring message into trash talk. Taking to X, the Armenian wrote that while Islam’s quote deserves its place on the wall, maybe it’s time for Dana White to put up a different kind of motivational message for the current lightweight champion. Specifically, he suggested placing a reminder in the bathroom telling Topuria not to sit down while using the facilities.

Tsarukyan’s bathroom joke might seem juvenile on the surface. However, it actually highlights a serious issue about champions cherry-picking opponents instead of facing the toughest available challenges. Whether this social media warfare leads to an actual fight between these two remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure.
