Formula 1 Betting Odds for today's race in Hungaroring and predictions for podium and winner

Yesterday’s qualifying session was a roller coaster. The Hungaroring was able to bring out the best in the teams and drivers during yesterday’s session. The teams have been employing upgrades to their cars before the start of the summer break in Formula 1. In yesterday’s qualifying, the gap between front runners and midfield cars are was lesser than ever.

There were many surprises yesterday. This includes the shocking pole position from Ferrari. We had accurately predicted that Charles Leclerc is going to be the best long shot at claiming the pole position. It all comes down to today’s race in the final weekend before Formula 1 summer break. The Hungary Grand Prix is set to take place soon in Budapest today. Here’s how the predictions lie for today’s race at Hungaroring.

The odds are still favouring Oscar Piastri over the pole winner Charles Leclerc. BetMGM odds put the McLarens above other drivers for today’s race. Oscar Piastri’s recent form and race winning streak has made the favorite driver in Hungary once again.

The safest bet for today’s race winner is Oscar Piastri. The Aussie is known for snatching away the lead of the race as soon as lap-1 many times. Charles Leclerc was fast yesterday but unfortunately he could only grab pole due to wind influence. The McLarens were still the only cars which were able to pull of a sub 1:15 time.

Lando Norris is going to be the best long shot for winning the race today. Starting from P3, the Briton is in a good position today. He was also closely competing with Oscar Piastri. Charles Leclerc is an aggressive driver who doesn’t shy away from closing the door on overtaking drivers. While he tries to battle Piastri, Norris can make a move and gain the lead of the race.

Other than that, there are no other drivers with good enough chances to win the race. The drivers starting from row three and behind simply do not pose enough threat to the top performers of the 2025 season.

Podium Predictions and Betting Odds for Top-3 Drivers in Hungary Grand Prix

It is obvious from the overall data and results from the last two days that McLaren drivers are once again going to dominate. The two McLarens have a sure shot at taking a double podium finish. However, if for some reason Piastri and Norris collide while trying to take down each other or Charles Leclerc the results may vary drastically.

Charles Leclerc is on a podium streak for two races. His past results and confidence put him in a good position for claiming a podium today. Here are some of the best odds from BetMGM for the Top-3 drivers in today’s race-

Our Pick for the Hungary Grand Prix- The Playoffs Predictions for 2025 Hungary Grand Prix

The Hungaroring is a track which favours strategy over race craft and raw speed. Starting on the correct set of tyres is going to be as important as dive-bombing into Turn-1. In yesterday’s the changing track conditions completely changed the gameplay of the qualifying session. The Hungary GP will become interesting if track stays cool once again.

McLaren’s best advantage is their raw speed and tyre management. However, at a track where high downforce is needed and cool temperatures decrease the tyre degradation, the other teams quickly start catching up. There is an impeding crash between the drivers today. The starting lineup is full of aggressors. Oscar Piastri may actually lose some positions to minimise damage and keep a healthy lead in the championship.

As viewers await Formula 1 to go racing again today, the Hungaroring is getting rather cloudy and cool. Fans should expect a close battle between the front runners for the win.
