Medvedev has been a pillar of consistency this year, frequently reaching the later stages of tournaments. He made the final in Halle, beating Alexander Zverev before losing to Alexander Bublik. He also reached the semifinals at Indian Wells and the Open 13 in Marseille. The former world No. 1 has added quarterfinal finishes in Washington, Doha, Dubai, Madrid, and Libema.
