Zverev is currently the fifth active ATP Tour player to reach 500 career wins.
Alexander Zverev reached the fourth round of the National Bank Open 2025 after a 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-2 victory over Matteo Arnaldi. The German dropped the opening set in the tie-break but responded in style to clinch the match in three-set thriller. With this win, Zverev hit a major milestone in his career and joined an elite list of tennis players.
Zverev recorded his 500th win of his career in the third round of the Masters 1000 event in Toronto. He achieved this milestone in his 712nd game and the glory came in the National Bank Open from where the German ace starts his preparation for the US Open.

The world No. 3, Alexander Zverev’s 500th win came after going one-set down. Matteo Arnaldi managed to take the opening set in tie-break but couldn’t sustain later in the match. Zverev ended up as the top seed with top-ranked Jannik Sinner and No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz missing the event.
Zverev became just the third German to reach 500 wins in the Open Era, joining Boris Becker (713-214) and Tommy Haas (569-338). The 28-year-old is the youngest active player to reach milestone.
“It’s a great achievement,” Zverev said. “I think there’s not a lot of players that have reached that milestone. For me that’s great to reach it. I still want 500 more, maybe, to come, maybe even more!
“When you start your career, you wish to play on tour, you wish to kind of have a successful career, win as many matches as possible—I think 500 is definitely a milestone, and I’m happy about that.”
Zverev is currently the fifth active ATP Tour player to reach 500 career wins. He joined Novak Djokovic (1,150), Marin Cilic (593), Gael Monfils (583) and Stan Wawrinka (580) to reach the milestone.
