The Golden State Valkyries (11-12) have relished one of the most outstanding debuts by a franchise in recent sports history. The Valkyries have a terrific team mentality and are thriving despite lacking superstar players.
On the other hand, the Connecticut Sun (3-20) is on pace for its worst season in franchise history. As the two clash, many high-caliber players will be on display. The Valkyries will need a lot from their role players after Kayla Thornton’s prolonged display. Thus, their stats can rise. On that note, here is a look at the four player props for the game.
Hayes is the most reliable veteran on the team. Her ability to get buckets is well-known for many years. She has successfully reclaimed her spot as one of the best shot-creators, getting a big role with a fresh franchise.
Hayes has averaged 13.1 points per game but recently, her returns have been even more amazing. She scored 17 in the last game to recover from a 3-point performance against the Seattle Storm. Overall, she has scored 15 or more in three of the last four games.
The Sun’s weak perimeter defense can allow her to clear points projection here.

Burton’s playmaking opens things up for the dynamic Valkyries. Her offense is limited, but her assist-making capabilities are for real. The Valkyries PG is tallying 5.3 APG, but has delivered 4 or fewer assists in two straight games.
Before that, she had delivered 6-8 helpers in four games straight. I expect her to get back in those numbers against a vulnerable Sun defense.

| Props | BetMGM Odds |
| Hayes O 14.5 Points | -115 |
| Burton O 5.5 Assists | -130 |
| Charles O 15.5 Points | -125 |
| Mabrey U 13.5 Points | -105 |
Future Hall of Fame Charles has been the biggest stabilizing force on offense for the decimated Sun. The automatic scorer has put up 16 PPG thus far. She has played her best recently, accumulating 20 or more points in four of the last five matches.
She had just 9 against Valkyries last time, but is now in a much better rhythm. So I expect her to go “Over” the projected points mark.
Points: Charles Over 15.5 for -125 for BetMGM
Mabrey is averaging 14.6 PPG this season. The innovative shot-creator returned to the scene after a month’s absence due to injuries. She looked stiff and shot 2-12, accumulating merely 7 points. She has scored in single-figures for four straight games.
Thus, there is a high chance that the tight Valkyries’ defense keeps her under the mark again.

nba Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
