Who Is Max Holloway’s Wife?

Max Holloway and Alessa Quizon have been married since April 16, 2022, when they tied the knot in a ceremony at the Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute in Ko Olina, Hawaii.

The couple first confirmed their relationship publicly in February 2020 on Instagram and later announced their engagement on November 17 of the same year. Due to the pandemic and their demanding travel schedules, they didn’t get to fully enjoy their relationship at first. Still, they found their rhythm, and Max proposed in November 2022.

Alessa is often seen ringside, cheering Max on, and even appeared with him in the ESPN+ series UFC Journey, which opens with a day at the beach alongside family. Speaking about her on The MMA Hour, Holloway said, “My wife made my life easier. She took a lot of things off my plate and she just makes it easier. So, all I got to do is go there, focus, do my thing … She does a lot and I am just super grateful for her.”

What Is Alessa Quizon’s Profession?

Alessa Quizon is a world-ranked professional surfer. Born and raised on Oahu, Hawaii, Alessa was immersed in the ocean lifestyle from the age of four, learning to surf under the guidance of her father and inspired by her older sister’s competitions.

Surfing runs deep in the Quizon family, and by her late teens, Alessa was competing on the global stage. She eventually reached the elite Women’s World Tour, where she was ranked as high as No. 17 in the world, going up against top-tier talent from around the globe.

Her love for the sport is both physical and mental. “Surfing uses your entire body and your mind,” she told Into The Gloss, highlighting the balance and endurance needed to stay at the top. Though she often calls the ocean her “office.” Alessa once told Teen Vogue that she spends time studying waves and conditions before ever diving in.

Who Is Max Holloway’s First Wife?

Before marrying Alessa Quizon, Holloway was previously married to Kaimana Paʻaluhi, a former model. The two tied the knot in 2012, the same year they welcomed their son, Rush, into the world. However, the marriage didn’t last. Holloway and Kaimana separated in 2014 and finalized their divorce in 2017.
