ATP & WTA Rankings: Iga Swiatek and Taylor Fritz Rise, Jasmine Paolini and Jack Draper Stumble Post Wimbledon 2025

Updated men’s and women’s rankings after the grass court swing.

The new ATP and WTA Rankings were released on Monday, in the aftermath of the 2025 Wimbledon Championships. Iga Swiatek and Jannik Sinner were the successful glory-hunters in the singles categories, winning the Ladies’ Singles and Gentlemen’s Singles championships respectively. As a result, the duo has added to their tally in the rankings. Meanwhile, there were some big losers too.

Let’s take a look at the new updated rankings after Wimbledon 2025:

ATP Singles Rankings (July 2025):

On the men’s side, Jannik Sinner extends his lead at the top of the pile. He made significant gains by winning the Wimbledon trophy – after losing in the quarterfinals in 2024. On the other hand, World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz remains in the same spot despite failing to retain his coveted crown. However, the Spaniard has the perfect opportunity to narrow the deficit in the upcoming North American swing. While the 23-year-old Italian is defending 3,200 points across Toronto, Cincinnati and the US Open, Alcaraz has to defend just 60 points.

After reaching the semifinal stage at All England Club, American No. 1 Taylor Fritz also rose up the ranks. He is back to being the 4th best player in the world, at the expense of Britain’s Jack Draper. While southpaw Ben Shelton also pushed forward to No. 9, Andrey Rublev’s impressive pre-quarterfinal showing earned him a jump to No. 10 in the world. The rest of the rankings remain unchanged.

WTA Singles Rankings (July 2025):

The big change on the women’s circuit is that Iga Swiatek has returned to the Top-3. While Aryna Sabalenka’s reign at the top is under no threat for the next couple of months at the very least, things could heat up as the season nears its culmination. The 27-year-old Belarusian won the US Open, Cincinnati Open and Wuhan Open last year. As a result, Gauff and Swiatek will be hunting for openings.

Russian prodigy Mirra Andreeva makes her Top-5 debut after an impressive run to the quarterfinals at SW19. She is closely followed by Wimbledon runner-up and Top-10 debutant Amanda Anisimova – who has sky-rocketed into No. 7. While 2024 Wimbledon finalist Jasmine Paolini suffered a titanic slump in the rankings after falling in Round-2 this year, Jessica Pegula and Paula Badosa also stumbled.
