It was another exciting day as the Chicago Sky avenged their past defeat to the Minnesota Lynx and took them down 87-81. It marked the fourth overall defeat for the Lynx in the ongoing WNBA season. On the other hand, the Las Vegas Aces edged past the Golden State Valkyries with a narrow margin. A total of two games took place in the WNBA on Saturday, July 12, and here, we will go through quick recaps of both the games.

The Chicago Sky avenged their past defeat and took down the Minnesota Lynx 87-81 in an exciting thriller at Wintrust Arena on Saturday, July 12. With the loss, the Lynx are now 18-4 in the WNBA 2025 season. The game saw Ariel Atkins dropping 27 points, three rebounds, and one assist, while Angel Reese came up with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists. Apart from them, Kamilla Cardoso dropped 17 points, 15 rebounds, and two assists whereas Rachel Banham tallied 12 points, three rebounds, and five assists.

For the Lynx, Napheesa Collier dropped 26 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. In addition, Kayla McBride recorded 17 points, and one assist while Courtney Williams tallied 13 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.

In the second contest of the day, the Las Vegas Aces registered a narrow 104-102 victory over the Golden State Valkyries 104-102. The victory snapped the two-game losing skid of the Aces and pushed their tally to 10-11 in the ongoing season. A’ja Wilson dropped 34 points, 16 rebounds, and four assists while Jackie Young came up with 30 points, three rebounds, and six assists. In addition, Jewell Loyd came up with 15 points, two rebounds, and one assist for the Aces. Not only this, but Chelsea Gray, who dropped six points, three rebounds and six assists, became the fastest and youngest player in WNBA history to reach 4,000 points, 1,700 assists, 1,000 rebounds, 400 steals, and 100 blocks.

For the Valkyries, Janelle Salaun and Tiffany Hayes dropped 16 points apiece. While Salaun grabbed six rebounds and dished out two assists, Hayes had two rebounds, and five assists. Apart from them, Temi Fagbenle recorded 13 points, three rebounds, and one assist while Cecilia Zandalasini dropped 12 points and one assist. Not only this, but Veronica Burton came up with 11 points, five rebounds, and eight assists, whereas Kayla Thornton dropped 10 points, nine rebounds, and two assists.
