Flavio Cobolli’s Breakthrough Year

2024 was the breakthrough year for the Italian, who made it to the main draw of all four majors for the first time. Although he didn’t progress beyond the third round at any Grand Slam last year, Cobolli took several strides in the right direction.

The Italian youngster also made his first appearances in the third round at three Masters 1000 events at the Madrid Open, Cincinnati Open, and the Shanghai Masters. The ATP 500 event in Washington became the first tournament where he reached the final after securing excellent wins over the likes of David Goffin, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Alex Michelsen, and Ben Shelton.
