Manchester United are preparing for a significant squad overhaul this summer. For that, they may see Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia all depart the club in this transfer window. The club has delayed their return to pre-season training.

The Red Devils are waiting it out for potential transfers to materialize. Marcus Rashford, once the face of United’s attack, is now among those facing an uncertain future. The 27-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa. Reportedly, he is now set to hand over his No. 10 shirt to new signing Matheus Cunha.

Rashford’s relationship with manager Ruben Amorim has reportedly broken down. Apparently, the Portuguese coach previously questioned Rashford’s commitment. Alejandro Garnacho’s situation has also soured at this point. The 20-year-old Argentine is frustrated after being benched in United’s Europa League final.

The Red Devils lost the match to Spurs. Then Garnacho expressed his discontent on social media. “Up until the final, I played every round helping the team, and today I play 20 minutes. I don’t know,” he posted. Thus, fueling speculation over his exit. Chelsea reportedly retain a strong interest in the young winger.

Sancho, Antony, and Malacia Also Headed Out

Jadon Sancho spent last season on loan at Chelsea. He is now seeking a permanent move away after failing to secure regular minutes at Old Trafford. Brazilian winger Antony impressed during his loan spell at Real Betis.

He has scored five goals in La Liga, and is open to a transfer. Tyrell Malacia has been plagued by injuries since his arrival. He spent some time on loan at PSV Eindhoven and is also among those expected to leave. United’s management hopes these departures will raise funds.

Their focus is now at investing in new signings to start the next season anew. Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo is among their top targets. However, sources suggest the club has struggled to attract firm offers, despite signaling their willingness to sell.

Pre-season kicks off on July 20 against Leeds United in Stockholm. Coach Ruben Amorim is eager to reshape the squad to his vision as soon as possible. With Rashford, Garnacho, Sancho, Antony, and Malacia all likely heading for the exit, United’s summer may become one of their most transformative in years.
