Reinier de Ridder Reacts To Khamzat Chimaev Continuously Arguing With A Fake RDR Profile!

Social media feuds in MMA usually involve real fighters throwing real shade at each other. But what happens when a UFC champion spends his time arguing with someone who isn’t even the actual fighter? That’s exactly what went down with Khamzat Chimaev and what he thought was Reinier de Ridder’s account. The whole situation became comedy gold after UFC Vancouver, where de Ridder lost to Brendan Allen in disappointing fashion by not answering the bell for round four.

The UFC loss itself was tough enough for the Dutchman to swallow. He was riding high, potentially next in line for a middleweight title shot, and then it all came crashing down. Allen secured a corner stoppage that nobody saw coming. The backlash was immediate and brutal. Fans called him a quitter. Critics questioned his heart. And then Chimaev jumped in, posting “This bull**t guy give up” on X right after the fight ended.

The Reinier de Ridder Fake Account That Fooled Khamzat Chimaev

Here’s where things get hilarious. The account that fired back at Chimaev wasn’t actually de Ridder. It was a troll account pretending to be him, and it told Borz to ‘shut up‘ while listing all his withdrawn fights. Chimaev kept going back and forth with this fake account, completely unaware he was arguing with an imposter. The real de Ridder watched from the sidelines as his digital doppelganger kept the beef alive.

When asked about the bizarre situation, de Ridder couldn’t help but laugh. He admitted there’s been this fake Twitter account trying to be him for a while now. The funny part was Chimaev still thinks that’s the real deal. Reinier de Ridder said everyone knew it wasn’t actually him posting, except for Khamzat.

“I don’t know, there’s this Twitter account (now X) trying to be me. So, I think he still thinks that’s me, so he might be a little bit confused on that end. But, yeah, it is what it is. We’ll see…It got pretty dark and bad at times. Nah, everybody knew it wasn’t me, except for Khamzat.”

The fake account apparently had some quality content, according to de Ridder himself. It even went after his manager Ali Abdelaziz with some dark humor. While RDR found some of it amusing, other posts crossed the line. He reported the account multiple times before it finally got taken down. But the damage was done in the best way possible. The fake profile kept the rivalry between him and Chimaev trending when de Ridder was dealing with his loss. Chimaev got trolled without even knowing it, and de Ridder got some free publicity for a future matchup.
