Oliveira was cornering Allan Nascimento at UFC Vegas 110, supporting his Brazilian teammate through a successful submission victory. However, it wasn’t just Nascimento’s win that got people talking. After the event, Charles Oliveira hinted at major news after meeting the UFC brass, posting a cryptic message that sent the MMA community into speculation mode.

Oliveira shared a photo on social media with UFC president Dana White and chief business officer Hunter Campbell. When a fighter poses with the UFC leadership and drops hints about something brewing, it usually means a big fight is in the works.The caption read:

Oliveira spoke to the UFC after the event and brought up a potential rematch with Max Holloway, suggesting that matchup could be the “something new” he’s hinting at. The two fought back in 2015 when Oliveira lost, and he’s clearly interested in running it back now that both fighters are at different stages of their careers.

The first fight between Oliveira and Holloway happened nearly a decade ago at featherweight. Holloway won that bout, but Oliveira has always maintained he was dealing with an injury during the fight.
