Alisson Becker Injury Update: How Long Will Liverpool Be Without Their Goalkeeper?

Liverpool suffered another setback with manager Arne Slot confirming that Alisson Becker will miss Sunday’s Premier League clash against Manchester United due to a hamstring issue. The 32-year-old goalkeeper sustained the injury during the Champions League defeat to Galatasaray on September 30 and has yet to fully recover. Slot also ruled Alisson out of next week’s European trip to Eintracht Frankfurt, meaning Giorgi Mamardashvili will continue between the posts. Notably, the Georgian goalkeeper started in the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea before the international break.

Despite the blow, Slot also delivered some positive news. Ryan Gravenberch’s hamstring concern has eased, and the Dutch midfielder is expected to feature at Anfield on Sunday. He completed 45 minutes for the Netherlands in their 4-0 win over Finland. Meanwhile, Ibrahima Konate is set to rejoin training on Saturday after being withdrawn from France duty earlier this month.
