Conor McGregor wasted no time to claim a spot in the UFC White House event. In a recent interview, the 37-year old declared his participation a foregone conclusion already. “It’s a done deal, signed, delivered.” McGregor claimed, emphasizing that the negotiations weren’t with the UFC but directly the U.S. government.

He also said, “Me and Dana are in constant communication, we’ve done incredible business together. I’m the highest-generating fighter of all time in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.”

McGregor also dived into his preparation strategy. “You know, I consider it a six-month operation to get ready for this belt. And that’s my focus right now,” he told reporters from Bloody Elbow and MMA Junkie.

Does Conor McGregor’s Statements Hold Weight?

Conor McGregor’s claim of a “signed” UFC White House fight in June 2026 lacks confirmation from Dana White or the White House, despite UFC’s event plans.

His $100 million demand and past delays, like the cancelled Chandler fights and 2024 toe injury, fuel a lot of skepticism. While his willingness to re-enter drug-testing and training focus may suggest his commitment, but no matchup is set for now. For now, unless the UFC announces it, we would suggest fans to take his comments with a grain of salt.
